Catholic Verse of the Day

Deuteronomy 10:13

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Saturday, January 15, 2028, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And keep the commandments of the Lord, and his ceremonies, which I command thee this day, that it may be well with thee?

Deuteronomy 10:13

Reflection for Today

The Church sets before us Deuteronomy 10:13: “And keep the commandments of the Lord, and his ceremonies, which I command thee this day, that it may be well with thee?”

A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings. Deuteronomy is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church.

As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Before the day runs away, sit with this verse for two quiet minutes. Say it slowly. Notice which word stays warm in the heart, and carry that word into one conversation.

Prayer

Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Deuteronomy 10:13 I hear, “And keep the commandments of the Lord, and his ceremonies, which I command thee this…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
