Catholic Verse of the Day

Hebrews 8:2

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Saturday, November 27, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

A minister of the holies and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord hath pitched, and not man.

Hebrews 8:2

Reflection for Today

Let Hebrews 8:2 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “A minister of the holies and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord hath pitched, and not man.”

Hebrews comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.

If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of Hebrews 8:2 remain. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.

Prayer

Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Hebrews 8:2. As I listen to “A minister of the holies and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord hath pitched,…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
