Pause with Wisdom 7:26. Hear these words again: “For she is the brightness of eternal light, and the unspotted mirror of God's majesty, and the image of his goodness.”
The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves. Wisdom belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. If the verse convicts you, do not panic. Take it to Confession when you can, or begin with an honest Act of Contrition tonight.
Prayer
Lord God, thank You for speaking through Wisdom 7:26. You said, “For she is the brightness of eternal light, and the unspotted mirror of God's…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
