Catholic Verse of the Day

Psalms 7:9

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Monday, September 20, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

The Lord judgeth the people. Judge me, O Lord, according to my justice, and according to my innocence in me.

Psalms 7:9

Reflection for Today

Let Psalms 7:9 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “The Lord judgeth the people. Judge me, O Lord, according to my justice, and according to my innocence in me.”

The Psalms have given voice to every mood of the believer: praise, tears, trust, and longing. What Israel prayed, the Church still sings. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Psalms 7:9, let “The Lord judgeth the people. Judge me, O Lord, according to my justice, and…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
