Theme: Mercy
“Ozias rising up all in tears, said: Be of good courage, my brethren, and let us wait these five days for mercy from the Lord.”
Reflection for Today
Pause with Judith 7:23. Hear these words again: “Ozias rising up all in tears, said: Be of good courage, my brethren, and let us wait these five days for mercy from the Lord.”
God's strength does not always remove the weight. Sometimes it teaches us how to carry it without losing charity. Judith, received in the Catholic canon, shows courage, fidelity, and providence when God's people are tested.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Pray a decade of the Rosary with this verse in mind. Ask Mary to teach you how to keep God's word and ponder it, as she did.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Judith 7:23 close to me. Let “Ozias rising up all in tears, said: Be of good courage, my brethren, and let us wait…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
