Today's Catholic verse of the day is Judges 7:9: “The same night the Lord said to him: Arise, and go down into the camp: because I have delivered them into thy hand.”
Judges is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.
Today's invitation under the theme of Protection is simple and serious. If the verse convicts you, do not panic. Take it to Confession when you can, or begin with an honest Act of Contrition tonight.
Prayer
Lord God, thank You for speaking through Judges 7:9. You said, “The same night the Lord said to him: Arise, and go down into the camp: because I…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
