Catholic Verse of the Day

Romans 6:9

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Tuesday, August 24, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

Forgiveness & Mercy

Knowing that Christ, rising again from the dead, dieth now no more. Death shall no more have dominion over him.

Romans 6:9

Reflection for Today

Pause with Romans 6:9. Hear these words again: “Knowing that Christ, rising again from the dead, dieth now no more. Death shall no more have dominion over him.”

The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves. Romans comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance.

Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.

Prayer

Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Romans 6:9. As I listen to “Knowing that Christ, rising again from the dead, dieth now no more. Death shall no…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
