Theme: Daily Scripture
“And they shall know that I the Lord have not spoken in vain that I would do this evil to them.”
Reflection for Today
Let Ezekiel 6:10 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And they shall know that I the Lord have not spoken in vain that I would do this evil to them.”
In Ezekiel, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.
If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of Ezekiel 6:10 remain. If the verse convicts you, do not panic. Take it to Confession when you can, or begin with an honest Act of Contrition tonight.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Ezekiel 6:10 close to me. Let “And they shall know that I the Lord have not spoken in vain that I would do this…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
