The Church sets before us Tobit 6:16: “Then the angel Raphael said to him: Hear me, and I will shew thee who they are, over whom the devil can prevail.”
Tobit, received in the Catholic canon, shows courage, fidelity, and providence when God's people are tested. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.
Prayer
Lord God, thank You for speaking through Tobit 6:16. You said, “Then the angel Raphael said to him: Hear me, and I will shew thee who they are, over…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
