Reflection for Today
Let Revelation 5:1 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And I saw, in the right hand of him that sat on the throne, a book, written within and without, sealed with seven seals.”
Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. Revelation is often treated as a puzzle of fear. Catholic faith reads it as a book of worship and hope: the Lamb reigns, and history is not abandoned.
Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. Pray a decade of the Rosary with this verse in mind. Ask Mary to teach you how to keep God's word and ponder it, as she did.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Revelation 5:1 close to me. Let “And I saw, in the right hand of him that sat on the throne, a book, written within…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
