Catholic Verse of the Day

Mark 5:20

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Monday, June 28, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And he went his way, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men wondered.

Mark 5:20

Reflection for Today

The Church sets before us Mark 5:20: “And he went his way, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men wondered.”

Mark does not give us a distant memory of Jesus. It places us in His company, where every word can become prayer. The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves.

If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of Mark 5:20 remain. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.

Prayer

Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Mark 5:20 I hear, “And he went his way, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
