Catholic Verse of the Day

Zechariah 5:5

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Thursday, June 24, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And the angel went forth that spoke in me, and he said to me: Lift up thy eyes, and see what this is, that goeth forth.

Zechariah 5:5

Reflection for Today

Pause with Zechariah 5:5. Hear these words again: “And the angel went forth that spoke in me, and he said to me: Lift up thy eyes, and see what this is, that goeth forth.”

The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves. In Zechariah, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future.

If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of Zechariah 5:5 remain. Before the day runs away, sit with this verse for two quiet minutes. Say it slowly. Notice which word stays warm in the heart, and carry that word into one conversation.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for speaking through Zechariah 5:5. You said, “And the angel went forth that spoke in me, and he said to me: Lift up thy eyes, and…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
