Catholic Verse of the Day

Sirach 5:3

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Monday, June 14, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Strength

Strength

And say not: How mighty am I? and who shall bring me under for my deeds? for God will surely take revenge.

Sirach 5:3

Reflection for Today

Pause with Sirach 5:3. Hear these words again: “And say not: How mighty am I? and who shall bring me under for my deeds? for God will surely take revenge.”

God's strength does not always remove the weight. Sometimes it teaches us how to carry it without losing charity. Sirach belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices.

As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for speaking through Sirach 5:3. You said, “And say not: How mighty am I? and who shall bring me under for my deeds? for God…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
