Today's Catholic verse of the day is Tobit 5:21: “And Tobias answering, said: May you have a good journey, and God be with you in your way, and his angel accompany you.”
Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. Tobit, received in the Catholic canon, shows courage, fidelity, and providence when God's people are tested.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Tobit 5:21 close to me. Let “And Tobias answering, said: May you have a good journey, and God be with you in your…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
