Theme: Prayer
“And offer of the flocks an ewe lamb, or a she goat, and the priest shall pray for him and for his sin.”
Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Leviticus 5:6: “And offer of the flocks an ewe lamb, or a she goat, and the priest shall pray for him and for his sin.”
Prayer is where Scripture stops being information and becomes relationship. Even a short, honest conversation with God can reorder a crowded day. Leviticus is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church.
If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of Leviticus 5:6 remain. Pray a decade of the Rosary with this verse in mind. Ask Mary to teach you how to keep God's word and ponder it, as she did.
Prayer
Lord God, thank You for speaking through Leviticus 5:6. You said, “And offer of the flocks an ewe lamb, or a she goat, and the priest shall pray for…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
