Catholic Verse of the Day

Zechariah 4:5

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Tuesday, April 27, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And the angel that spoke in me answered, and said to me: Knowest thou not what these things are? And I said: No, my lord.

Zechariah 4:5

Reflection for Today

The Church sets before us Zechariah 4:5: “And the angel that spoke in me answered, and said to me: Knowest thou not what these things are? And I said: No, my lord.”

In Zechariah, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of Zechariah 4:5 remain. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.

Prayer

Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Zechariah 4:5. As I listen to “And the angel that spoke in me answered, and said to me: Knowest thou not what these…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
