Be of good comfort, my children, cry to the Lord, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the princes your enemies.

Baruch 4:21

Reflection for Today

The Church sets before us Baruch 4:21: “Be of good comfort, my children, cry to the Lord, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the princes your enemies.”

In Baruch, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

Today's invitation under the theme of Protection is simple and serious. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for speaking through Baruch 4:21. You said, “Be of good comfort, my children, cry to the Lord, and he will deliver you out of the…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
