Catholic Verse of the Day

Psalms 4:4

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Sunday, April 11, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

Know ye also that the Lord hath made his holy one wonderful: the Lord will hear me when I shall cry unto him.

Psalms 4:4

Reflection for Today

The Church sets before us Psalms 4:4: “Know ye also that the Lord hath made his holy one wonderful: the Lord will hear me when I shall cry unto him.”

The Psalms have given voice to every mood of the believer: praise, tears, trust, and longing. What Israel prayed, the Church still sings. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of Psalms 4:4 remain. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Psalms 4:4, let “Know ye also that the Lord hath made his holy one wonderful: the Lord will hear me…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
