Theme: Strength
“Be watchful and strengthen the things that remain, which are ready to die. For I find not thy works full before my God.”
Reflection for Today
Pause with Revelation 3:2. Hear these words again: “Be watchful and strengthen the things that remain, which are ready to die. For I find not thy works full before my God.”
Revelation is often treated as a puzzle of fear. Catholic faith reads it as a book of worship and hope: the Lamb reigns, and history is not abandoned. God's strength does not always remove the weight. Sometimes it teaches us how to carry it without losing charity.
If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of Revelation 3:2 remain. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.
Prayer
Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Revelation 3:2. As I listen to “Be watchful and strengthen the things that remain, which are ready to die. For I…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
