Pause with 2 Timothy 3:8. Hear these words again: “Now as Jannes and Mambres resisted Moses, so these also resist the truth, men corrupted in mind, reprobate concerning the faith.”
Belief grows less by argument alone and more by fidelity: returning to prayer, returning to Mass, returning to mercy. 2 Timothy comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance.
