Theme: Daily Scripture
“And now, O Lord, think of me, and take not revenge of my sins, neither remember my offences, nor those of my parents.”
Reflection for Today
Pause with Tobit 3:3. Hear these words again: “And now, O Lord, think of me, and take not revenge of my sins, neither remember my offences, nor those of my parents.”
The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves. Tobit, received in the Catholic canon, shows courage, fidelity, and providence when God's people are tested.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Tobit 3:3 close to me. Let “And now, O Lord, think of me, and take not revenge of my sins, neither remember my…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
