Theme: Daily Scripture
“And the Lord answered me, and said: Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables: that he that readeth it may run over it.”
Reflection for Today
Let Habakkuk 2:2 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And the Lord answered me, and said: Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables: that he that readeth it may run over it.”
In Habakkuk, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. Before the day runs away, sit with this verse for two quiet minutes. Say it slowly. Notice which word stays warm in the heart, and carry that word into one conversation.
Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Habakkuk 2:2 I hear, “And the Lord answered me, and said: Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables:…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
