Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Saturday, October 17, 2026, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

Now this I say, that every one of you saith: I indeed am of Paul; and I am of Apollo; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:12

Reflection for Today

Today's Catholic verse of the day is 1 Corinthians 1:12: “Now this I say, that every one of you saith: I indeed am of Paul; and I am of Apollo; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.”

1 Corinthians comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.

As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.

Prayer

Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from 1 Corinthians 1:12. As I listen to “Now this I say, that every one of you saith: I indeed am of Paul; and I am of…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
