Pause with Mark 1:41. Hear these words again: “And Jesus, having compassion on him, stretched forth his hand and touching him saith to him: I will. Be thou made clean.”
If this verse tastes like mercy, let it search you kindly. Where do you need forgiveness, and where are you being asked to give it? Mark does not give us a distant memory of Jesus. It places us in His company, where every word can become prayer.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.
Prayer
Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Mark 1:41. As I listen to “And Jesus, having compassion on him, stretched forth his hand and touching him saith…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
