🛡️ Prayer for Protection from Evil
The Prayer for Protection from Evil asks the Father to guard you from the devil, from hidden harm, and from the temptation to cooperate with what is not of God. Catholics pray it at night, before travel, when a house feels unrested, and whenever fear of evil is loud. It is not a charm. It is faith in Christ, who has already conquered the darkness. Pair it with the Prayer to St. Michael and the Sign of the Cross.
Prayer for Protection from Evil
Heavenly Father, I take refuge under the shadow of Your wings.
Protect me from all evil, from the snares of the devil, and from every spirit that is not of You.
Cover my mind, my home, and those I love with the Precious Blood of Jesus.
Let the Holy Cross be my light. Let not the dragon be my guide. Send St. Michael and my guardian angel to defend me in battle.
Where I have opened a door to fear or sin, close it. Where I am weak, be my strength. Deliver me from evil, as Your Son taught us to pray.
Amen.
Short Prayer
Lord Jesus, by Your Cross and Resurrection, protect me from all evil.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Amen.
