Prayer to St. Joseph

Traditional Prayer

O glorious St. Joseph,

foster father of Jesus Christ and true spouse of the Virgin Mary,

pray for us and for the dying of this day.

O blessed St. Joseph,

to whom it was given not only to see and to hear

that God whom many kings longed to see, and saw not,

to hear, and heard not;

but also to carry Him in your arms,

to embrace Him, to clothe Him, and guard and defend Him.

Come to my assistance in this great need,

that I may worthily receive and praise the most holy

and august Sacrament of the Body and Blood of your beloved Son.

O dearest St. Joseph,

I beg you, by that love which you had for the Immaculate Virgin Mary,

Mother of God, to recommend me to Jesus,

and to assist me at all times,

but most of all at the hour of my death.

Amen.

Short Prayer

O St. Joseph,

Guide us in our work and protect our families.

Amen.
