In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
O Mother of Perpetual Help, you showed perfect patience when you stood at the foot of the cross, watching your Son suffer and die. You endured this terrible suffering with patience and trust in God's plan. Help us to be patient in our sufferings and to trust in God's plan for us.
Your patience in suffering was perfect and trusting.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

Reflection for Today
Today we pray for patience in suffering, following Mary's example at the foot of the cross. Patience is a virtue that helps us to endure difficulties with trust in God's plan.
Mary's patience was perfect. When she stood at the foot of the cross, watching her Son suffer and die, she could have given in to despair or anger. Instead, she endured this terrible suffering with patience and trust in God's plan.
Mary knew that God had a plan, even in this terrible suffering. She trusted that He would bring good out of this evil, and she was patient in waiting for that good to be revealed. Her patience was not passive, but active - she continued to love and trust God.
As we continue this novena, let us ask Mary to help us be patient in our sufferings. Let us ask her to help us endure difficulties with patience and trust in God's plan.
Remember that patience is not about avoiding suffering, but about enduring it with trust in God. When we are patient in suffering, we grow closer to God and become more like Him.
How to Make an Excellent Novena
Trust in God
Trust that God has a plan for your suffering. He will bring good out of it and help you to grow through it.
Offer Your Suffering
Offer your sufferings to God for the good of others. This gives meaning to your pain and helps you to grow in holiness.
Be Patient with Others
Be patient with others as God is patient with you. Show them the same love and understanding that you receive from God.
Pray for Patience
Ask Mary to help you grow in patience. She knows what it means to suffer and can help you to endure with trust.
