Novena for Moving & Relocation – Day 1: Trust in God's Plan

Surrender your move to God and trust in His perfect timing.

Today's Focus: Trust in God's Plan

Every move begins with a decision — and behind every decision, God is at work. Today we open our hearts to trust that this relocation is not random but part of God's loving plan for our lives. Even when we cannot see the full picture, we choose to believe that He who calls us also equips and guides us.

Prayer for Day 1

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Opening Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I come before You at the start of this novena, carrying the weight of an upcoming move. I acknowledge that You are Lord over every detail of my life — including this transition. Help me to release my need for control and place this move entirely in Your hands.

Prayer for Trust:
Lord, Your Word says that You know the plans You have for me — plans for welfare and not for evil, to give me a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). I claim that promise today. I trust that this move is part of Your plan, even when I feel uncertain or afraid. Strengthen my faith and quiet my anxious thoughts.

Scripture Reading:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be

Closing Prayer:
Lord, I place this move in Your hands. Guide every decision, provide for every need, and help me to see Your hand at work throughout this process. I trust You. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Reflection for Today

Abraham left his homeland without knowing where he was going (Hebrews 11:8). He trusted God's call more than his own comfort. Moving requires a similar act of faith — stepping forward even when the destination is not fully clear.

Today, practice surrendering one specific worry about your move to God. Name it, pray over it, and release it. Trust that He has already gone before you to prepare the way.
