On this sixth day, we pray for faithfulness in serving God and being His willing instrument.
Prayer for Day 6
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Dear Lord, we thank You for giving us Your servant, Mother Angelica, as an example of holiness. Help us to imitate the devotion to You she showed as she faithfully lived out her vocation to the Poor Clares.
Mother Angelica, you felt that God was calling you to serve Him in a contemplative religious order. You entered the Poor Clares, and you continued to serve God faithfully for the rest of your life.
You worked to establish a new religious community that would appeal to African American sisters. Your hard work helped bring more women into the religious vocation.
Pray for me, that I may always be a willing instrument of God's will. Pray that I may do all I can to serve Him faithfully each day.
