In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Dear Lord, we thank You and praise You for the many ways You have assisted us throughout the trials and sufferings of our lives. We humbly ask You to pour out Your grace and assistance on all those who suffer from a chronic illness.
Chronic illness can be a very difficult burden to bear. Those who suffer greatly from chronic illness and who have little expectation of relief can become very discouraged about their condition.
Please bless and assist all people who suffer from chronic illness, and we especially ask You today to help all those suffering from chronic illness who are becoming discouraged about their condition!
Help us to rely on You for strength in all the trials we face in our lives. Help us to unite ourselves more fully to You each day.

Reflection for Today
Today we pray for those who are becoming discouraged about their condition. Discouragement is a common and understandable response to chronic illness, especially when progress is slow or non-existent.
