The Mystery of Suffering
Suffering is a mystery that touches every human life. We cannot fully explain why God permits it, but we can find meaning in it through faith.
The Catechism teaches: "In time we can discover that God in his almighty providence can bring a good from the consequences of an evil, even a moral evil, caused by his creatures." (CCC 312)
God does not will suffering for its own sake. But in a world wounded by sin, suffering is inevitable. The question is not whether we will suffer but how we will respond.
St. John Paul II wrote: "Suffering is present in the world in order to release love, in order to give birth to works of love towards neighbor."
Suffering can destroy us or transform us. Faith makes the difference.
📖 Scripture
Romans 8:28 - "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."
🙏 Prayer
