St. John Paul II Daily

by St. John Paul II

Pope St. John Paul II (1920-2005) was one of the most influential figures of the 20th century. His teachings on human dignity, the family, and the new evangelization continue to shape the Church today. These daily reflections draw from his writings and homilies to inspire your faith journey.

Be Not Afraid

"Be not afraid!" These words, spoken at the beginning of John Paul II's pontificate, became the theme of his entire ministry. They echo Christ's words to His disciples and to us.

"Do not be afraid. Do not be satisfied with mediocrity. Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch."

John Paul II lived these words. He faced down communism, traveled to 129 countries, survived an assassination attempt, and continued his ministry even as Parkinson's disease ravaged his body. He was not afraid because he trusted in Christ.

"The future starts today, not tomorrow. We are not the sum of our weaknesses and failures; we are the sum of the Father's love for us and our real capacity to become the image of his Son."

What are you afraid of? Christ says to you today: "Be not afraid!" He is with you. He will never abandon you. Trust in Him.

đź“– Scripture

Isaiah 41:10 - "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you."

🙏 Prayer

Lord Jesus, You told us not to be afraid. Help me to trust in You completely, even when I face difficulties and uncertainties. Give me the courage of St. John Paul II to live my faith boldly. Be not afraid! Amen.
