Theme: Prayer

PrayerJoy

He shall pray to God, and he will be gracious to him: and he shall see his face with joy, and he will render to man his justice.

Job 33:26

Reflection for Today

The Church sets before us Job 33:26: “He shall pray to God, and he will be gracious to him: and he shall see his face with joy, and he will render to man his justice.”

Job belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices. Prayer is where Scripture stops being information and becomes relationship. Even a short, honest conversation with God can reorder a crowded day.

As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Pray a decade of the Rosary with this verse in mind. Ask Mary to teach you how to keep God's word and ponder it, as she did.

Prayer

Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Job 33:26 I hear, “He shall pray to God, and he will be gracious to him: and he shall see his face with…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
