Theme: Daily Scripture

Forgiveness & Mercy

And the Lord, when he had ended these words in Mount Sinai, gave to Moses two stone tables of testimony, written with the finger of God.

Exodus 31:18

Reflection for Today

Let Exodus 31:18 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And the Lord, when he had ended these words in Mount Sinai, gave to Moses two stone tables of testimony, written with the finger of God.”

Exodus is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.

Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Exodus 31:18, let “And the Lord, when he had ended these words in Mount Sinai, gave to Moses two stone…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
