Let Exodus 29:24 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And thou shalt put all upon the hands of Aaron and of his sons, and shalt sanctify them elevating before the Lord.”
Exodus is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. If the verse convicts you, do not panic. Take it to Confession when you can, or begin with an honest Act of Contrition tonight.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Exodus 29:24, let “And thou shalt put all upon the hands of Aaron and of his sons, and shalt sanctify…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
