Theme: Daily Scripture
“My heart hath said to thee: My face hath sought thee: thy face, O Lord, will I still seek.”
Reflection for Today
Let Psalms 26:8 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “My heart hath said to thee: My face hath sought thee: thy face, O Lord, will I still seek.”
Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. The Psalms have given voice to every mood of the believer: praise, tears, trust, and longing. What Israel prayed, the Church still sings.
Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.
Prayer
Lord God, thank You for speaking through Psalms 26:8. You said, “My heart hath said to thee: My face hath sought thee: thy face, O Lord, will I still…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
