Theme: Peace
“And you shall say: Peace be to my brethren, and to thee, and peace to thy house, and peace to all that thou hast.”
Reflection for Today
Today's Catholic verse of the day is 1 Samuel 25:6: “And you shall say: Peace be to my brethren, and to thee, and peace to thy house, and peace to all that thou hast.”
Peace is one of the first things anxiety steals. Christ does not deny our storms; He offers a peace that can remain even while the waves are still high. 1 Samuel is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church.
Today's invitation under the theme of Peace is simple and serious. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through 1 Samuel 25:6, let “And you shall say: Peace be to my brethren, and to thee, and peace to thy house, and…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
