Catholic Verse of the Day

Deuteronomy 22:5

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Monday, February 12, 2029, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

A woman shall not be clothed with man's apparel, neither shall a man use woman's apparel: for he that doth these things is abominable before God.

Deuteronomy 22:5

Reflection for Today

The Church sets before us Deuteronomy 22:5: “A woman shall not be clothed with man's apparel, neither shall a man use woman's apparel: for he that doth these things is abominable before God.”

Deuteronomy is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.

Prayer

Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Deuteronomy 22:5 close to me. Let “A woman shall not be clothed with man's apparel, neither shall a man use woman's…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
