Catholic Verse of the Day

Matthew 21:3

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Saturday, February 3, 2029, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And if any man shall say anything to you, say ye that the Lord hath need of them. And forthwith he will let them go.

Matthew 21:3

Reflection for Today

Let Matthew 21:3 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And if any man shall say anything to you, say ye that the Lord hath need of them. And forthwith he will let them go.”

Matthew does not give us a distant memory of Jesus. It places us in His company, where every word can become prayer. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for speaking through Matthew 21:3. You said, “And if any man shall say anything to you, say ye that the Lord hath need of them.…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
