Theme: Gratitude
“And a voice came out from the throne, saying: Give praise to our God, all ye his servants: and you that fear him, little and great.”
Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Revelation 19:5: “And a voice came out from the throne, saying: Give praise to our God, all ye his servants: and you that fear him, little and great.”
Peace is one of the first things anxiety steals. Christ does not deny our storms; He offers a peace that can remain even while the waves are still high. Revelation is often treated as a puzzle of fear. Catholic faith reads it as a book of worship and hope: the Lamb reigns, and history is not abandoned.
If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of Revelation 19:5 remain. Name your loudest fear before God without editing it. Then ask for the peace of Christ, not the peace of perfect control.
Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Revelation 19:5 I hear, “And a voice came out from the throne, saying: Give praise to our God, all ye his…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
