Theme: Daily Scripture
“But the woman, at the dawning of the day, came to the door of the house, where her lord lodged, and there fell down.”
Reflection for Today
Pause with Judges 19:26. Hear these words again: “But the woman, at the dawning of the day, came to the door of the house, where her lord lodged, and there fell down.”
The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves. Judges is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Judges 19:26 close to me. Let “But the woman, at the dawning of the day, came to the door of the house, where her…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
