The Church sets before us 2 Kings 15:24: “And he did that which was evil before the Lord: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, the son of Nabat, who made Israel to sin.”
2 Kings is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

Prayer
Lord God, thank You for speaking through 2 Kings 15:24. You said, “And he did that which was evil before the Lord: he departed not from the sins of…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
