Theme: Daily Scripture
“A psalm for David. Lord, who shall dwell in thy tabernacle? or who shall rest in thy holy hill?”
Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Psalms 14:1: “A psalm for David. Lord, who shall dwell in thy tabernacle? or who shall rest in thy holy hill?”
The Psalms have given voice to every mood of the believer: praise, tears, trust, and longing. What Israel prayed, the Church still sings. The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves.
If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of Psalms 14:1 remain. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Psalms 14:1 close to me. Let “A psalm for David. Lord, who shall dwell in thy tabernacle? or who shall rest in thy…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
