Theme: Peace
“He built also strong cities in Juda, for he was quiet, and there had no wars risen in his time, the Lord giving peace.”
Reflection for Today
Pause with 2 Chronicles 14:6. Hear these words again: “He built also strong cities in Juda, for he was quiet, and there had no wars risen in his time, the Lord giving peace.”
2 Chronicles is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
Today's invitation under the theme of Peace is simple and serious. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through 2 Chronicles 14:6, let “He built also strong cities in Juda, for he was quiet, and there had no wars risen…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
