Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Tuesday, March 14, 2028, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

For when they heard that by their punishments the others were benefited, they remembered the Lord, wondering at the end of what was come to pass.

Wisdom 11:14

Reflection for Today

Today's Catholic verse of the day is Wisdom 11:14: “For when they heard that by their punishments the others were benefited, they remembered the Lord, wondering at the end of what was come to pass.”

Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. Wisdom belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices.

Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Wisdom 11:14, let “For when they heard that by their punishments the others were benefited, they…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
