Catholic Verse of the Day

Proverbs 11:7

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Sunday, March 12, 2028, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Hope & Renewal

Hope

When the wicked man is dead, there shall be no hope any more: and the expectation of the solicitous shall perish.

Proverbs 11:7

Reflection for Today

The Church sets before us Proverbs 11:7: “When the wicked man is dead, there shall be no hope any more: and the expectation of the solicitous shall perish.”

Proverbs belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for speaking through Proverbs 11:7. You said, “When the wicked man is dead, there shall be no hope any more: and the expectation of…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
