The Church sets before us Tobit 11:19: “And he told his parents all the benefits of God, which he had done to him by the man that conducted him.”
Tobit, received in the Catholic canon, shows courage, fidelity, and providence when God's people are tested. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Tobit 11:19, let “And he told his parents all the benefits of God, which he had done to him by the man…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
