Theme: Strength
“And how can the servant of my lord speak with my lord? for no strength remaineth in me; moreover, my breath is stopped.”
Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Daniel 10:17: “And how can the servant of my lord speak with my lord? for no strength remaineth in me; moreover, my breath is stopped.”
In Daniel, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Daniel 10:17, let “And how can the servant of my lord speak with my lord? for no strength remaineth in…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
