Catholic Verse of the Day

Acts 8:10

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Tuesday, November 23, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

Strength

To whom they all gave ear, from the least to the greatest, saying: This man is the power of God, which is called great.

Acts 8:10

Reflection for Today

The Church sets before us Acts 8:10: “To whom they all gave ear, from the least to the greatest, saying: This man is the power of God, which is called great.”

The Acts of the Apostles remind us that the Church is not a museum of holy memories. It is a living community moved by the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. If the verse convicts you, do not panic. Take it to Confession when you can, or begin with an honest Act of Contrition tonight.

Prayer

Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Acts 8:10. As I listen to “To whom they all gave ear, from the least to the greatest, saying: This man is the…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
