Catholic Verse of the Day

Esther 5:13

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Monday, June 7, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And whereas I have all these things, I think I have nothing, so long as I see Mardochai the Jew sitting before the king's gate.

Esther 5:13

Reflection for Today

Let Esther 5:13 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And whereas I have all these things, I think I have nothing, so long as I see Mardochai the Jew sitting before the king's gate.”

Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. Esther, received in the Catholic canon, shows courage, fidelity, and providence when God's people are tested.

Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.

Prayer

Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Esther 5:13. As I listen to “And whereas I have all these things, I think I have nothing, so long as I see…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
